2020 Halloween Party
In October 2020, crushed that our favorite holiday was looking like it was going to be as isolated as the previous seven months had been, my then 7-yr old son and I decided that we had to throw a Halloween Party. Two weeks and a hand-drawn flyer later, we hosted a rockin’ socially-distanced and masked Halloween party in a ghost-bedecked Hazeltine Park. Due to the pandemic, we invited only a handful of school and neighborhood families, though I wanted to tell the whole neighborhood to come. For 3 hours, a really tough year was made magical for 30 neighborhood kids and their families.
